EP 7 Post Installation

Dear All,

I have installed EP 7 sp 9 using java stack only on window operating system.

Please tell me what are the measure post installation activities I need to do.

I have seen the installation guide, but that is very exhaustive, can I start working withought any post installation activity?

Please clear my confusion??

Amit,

1.Installation of EP 7.0 in WIndows environment is very easy and straight forward.

2. But the important thing here is "Post Installation Activities".

3. Installation guide is exhaustive,but the "Post Installation" chapter is just 19 pages.

So Download the Master Installation Guide of Java Stack based on your Databse.Follow the Post Installation steps without fail.

4._Please find the Fewer Post Installation Activities for Example:_

a. Installation of SAP License

b.Configure Remote Connection to SAP Support

c.Applying Latest Kernal and Support Packages

d.Environment Variable Setting etc..

After few basic Post Installaton activities, you have to go through check list along with activities you will be performing on this Portal.

Just to give flavor:

Webdynpro related work: NWDI configuration

ESS/MSS config.. Business package configuration

Federal portal related configuration

SSO related settings: If you want to setup SSO with backend systems
