Desktop Governance in SAP Lumira 2.1

Dear SAP Team,

I yust tried to implement the Desktop Governance with the LumiraGovernance.properties file I used before with SAP Lumira 1.31 in SAP Lumira 2.1. I copied the LumiraGovernance.properties into the path C:\Users\<username>\.sapvi_2 directory in the same format worked before in SAP Lumira 1.31. If I start SAP Lumira 2.1 no logon screen is shown. Do you have any idea why it is not working as expected? SAP Lumira 2.1 add-on is installed on BOE server side.

Hi all,

I just had a chat with a Support Expert and I am afraid. The LumiraGovernance.properties are no longer supported with SAP Lumira 2.x and there is actually no plan to implement this or a similar functionality. So it is not possible e. g. to restrict control access to data sources and other functionality via CMC and user or group profiles as possible in SAP Lumira 1.x.

Not a good decision from my point of view 😞

Due to the fact that our plan was to migrate to SAP Lumira 2.x Discovery this dropped functionality could stop our plan ...
