Raymond,

I dont uderstand what you need, but I expect that you want to see source code from ard.

Thats not possible, because ard file is only file with necessary information about addon and the source code is compiled and there is no way how to see source code.

If I undestood yourt question incorrectly, let me know.

Hi, some member said it can be opened and read by VB.net.

I guess we should be able to read it. The add-on was created by our consultant.

Do you know how to read it?

Thanks.

The ard file is a xml file with information about addon (version, install path, ...). The ard doesnt cointans any source code.

Ard fiel should be read with AddOnRegDataGen.exe

Hi,

Do you mean that even if I have VB Studio, I cannot check the add-on programs developed by consultanting company?

Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

You will not be able to view or edit the source code of an addon if the consulting company has sent you an ard file and an installer. An addon is a compiled program so the code is no longer viewable. The ard file is just a registration file and does not contain any code.

In nearly all cases the company developing the addon will not release source code, particularly if the company sells the addon to multiple clients. However, if you are having addons written for you then you may be able to arrange with the company developing the addons to also send you the source code.

Kind Regards,

Owen
