SSO in multiple domains without initial portal page on first EP server

Hi,

We have two EP servers listed below.

1) A.domain1.com - A portal to which users logon first. Never access initial portal page.

2) B.domain2.com - We'd like to use a logon ticket issued by A.domain1.com to logon this portal.

We've set ume.login.mdc.hosts since these servers are in different domains but it does not work.

It seems that not accessing initial portal page on A.domain1.com is the cause of the problem.

The [document|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/b8/9ba340fa432b54e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm] says there is a hidden iView integrated in the initial portal page which sends a request

to a server in each domain.

We need to call the function that the hidden iView does from our custom Java program on A.domain1.com

because we can not access initial poral page.

Any ideas on it?

Hi, we have the same problem. Our setting with the mdc.host works allready. But we must start the iview directly by url without out the portal around.

We use this Url:

https://<portal>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/Navigate/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fevery_u....

Now we have the problem that the second cookie in the other domain, will not be created?

Have you any solution?
