Gents,
In SM02 I created a system message. In WDA I changed the 'SYSTEM_MESSAGES_VISIBLE' parameter to 'On' en put the MESSAGE_LIST_ITEM in the webtemplate. When testing the template the system message is not displayed. I also tested the three visibility-options (SYSTEM_MESSAGES_DISPLAY_MODE). None of them is working.
Does anybody have a clue?
Best regards,
Theo
Theo,
after some trial and error I've managed to display system messages created with SM02 in the portal.
1.In the web templates the parameter SYSTEM_MESSAGES_VISIBLE must be ON display mode ALWAYS.
The XHTML should look like:
<bi:SYSTEM_MESSAGES_VISIBLE type="CHOICE" value="X" text="" >
<bi:SYSTEM_MESSAGES_DISPLAY_MODE value="ALWAYS" />
</bi:SYSTEM_MESSAGES_VISIBLE>
It is imperative to check the XHTML. I've found that not always the changes from the layout mode in de WAD are transferred correctly in the XHTML.
2. Create a system message using transaction SM02 and make sure the dates and times are correct. I left the servername, client and language blanc.
3. When you start the query with the correct web template the system message will show either on the variables screen or on the result screen.
Hope this wil help solve your problem.
