Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to make a planned order reserve the material components. Is there a standard way to do that? Convert a planned order to production order isn't an option. Or is there a way to prioritize planned orders against prod. orders?

'Prioritize' in what context?

The material "go to" the planned order instead production order.

Today, if I want to produce the material A (father) that has B, C, D (sons). A planned order for tomorrow and a production order for 1 month from now, the sons get reserve to the production order instead the planned.

I'm trying to reserve the material for a planned order or prioritize the planned instead the production.

Let me elaborate my question again. Is this prioritization required for material availability check?

I dont know if I understood, but I guess yes. Shouldn't reserve the material to the production order if there is a planned order to the same material or when a production order is created, check the material availability (see the planned order created) and don't allow the reservation in case of low stock because the material is already reserved to the planned.

Hi ,

As per std. SAP functionality, reservation will not be generated for the planned order in discrete manufacturing Industry.
