Hi all,
There are a lot of threads with no points assigned. But the answers really did not help?
When I search for some help, firstly I look for answered threads. If it helps someone, maybe help me. Or I look for threads that points were assigned, for the same reason.
My idea is to create a new star (the Red star) and the moderators will assign if the answer helps. Maybe the star can value point, or not, but the main is to mark helpful answers, then when someone view the thread will see that the answers is good. If the thread's author decide to mark lately, the points will be assigned.
What threads need to be marked? The threads that have more views...
Please, lets discuss my crazy idea.
Regards.

Fortunately the comments box on closing the thread seems to have a good effect here. People are making a [good|; [effort|; and they even note questions that are [not|; [solved|;
I think something is definitely improving. I even tried some 'positive moderation' in one of them to see if it will spread.
Cheers,
Mike
I do agree with Paisante. We see each day many topics being open, and some of them were already answered before. Besides, we see people not using the forum conventions to post. It's kind of terrible when we see a posted code which is not properly formated with the simple format convention:

Maybe it's a good idea. There are some people that don't assign points, even if the answer helped... Maybe that will help and encourage more people to answer more threads...
