Position Description (IT1002) as PDF

Business Requirement

Requirement to upload Position Description in Infotype 1002 as a PDF document and retrieve as PDF either through standard SAP report or view and also display as PDF through Manager Self Service (MSS).

Solutions Tried:

Option 01: Infotype 1002 Position Description

Tried different ways like attach document and utilizing Standard Text functionality, but no luck.

Is there a way to upload Position Description as PDF file in Infotype 1002? If yes:

  • How to do it?
  • Is there a way to retrieve through SAP report to display from PDF uploaded?
  • Is there a way in MSS to display uploaded Position Description as a PDF form?

Option 02: Archiving using Tcode OAAD or OAOH

If Business object PDOTYPE_S is used for Position? , then what is the Document Type for it?

  • How to retrieve the archived PDF document from Tcdoe PO13?
  • Is there any SAP standard report to retrieve archived document for multiple positions?
  • How to retrieve the same from MSS access?

If PDOTYPE_S is not right option, please let us know the correct Business Object type and related document type.

Option 03: General Object Service (GOS)

Is GOS is right option to utilise, if yes:

  • Is there any SAP standard report to retrieve GOS documents for multiple positions?
  • How to retrieve the same from MSS access

Please suggest the most suitable option, maybe we might not try above.

Looking forward for best solution.

Kindly share if any alternate ideas...
