Customer Master Error: The address was not deleted, there are assignments to person.

Hi All,

I need a quick help on the error which I am getting in Customer Master as:

The address was not deleted; there are assignments to persons.

Please let me know how can I recreate it in dev environment, why this is coming and how can i remove this error?

I have tried to recreate this error in Dev environment by following methods:

1) Deleting the contact person by going to Customer Master:Contact person screen, there double clicking on the NAME field through which Customer Master: Contact Person Details screen comes up (where the Contact Person) field is available, but that field is non editable , due to which I cannot delete the contact person to recreate the issue.

2) I tried to delete it through VAP2, it takes me to same above screen-> Contact Person Change, where the contact person field is non-editable.

But somehow, I am not able to recreate the issue and solve this error.

Please advise which step I am missing and how to solve this error.

Hi Shubh

Not sure about re-creation steps for the issue but try to refer SAP Note 164297 as it might explain why this has happened in the first place.
