Length of Substitution variable SUBSVAL in mass change structure GB922I

We are trying to make a mass change in Asset Accounting, filling the Description field (TXT50). While setting up a new substitution via TA: OA02, however, the field contents are reduced to 24 characters (SUBSVAL = CHAR 24), although the target field has 50 characters.

Why is the value-transferring field defined shorter than the target fields?

Für eine Massenänderung in der Anlagenbuchhaltung soll das Feld Bezeichnung (TXT50) befüllt werden. In der Substitution über OA02 wird der Feldinhalt allerdings auf 24 Zeichen (SUBSVAL = CHAR 24) gekürzt, obwohl das Zielfeld 50 Stellen bietet.

Wieso ist das wertübergebende Feld kürzer definiert als die Zielfelder?
