Annual payment for license

I am questioning the practise to force an annual license renewal for SAP B1 payment if I want to cancel the service one month before the renewal period. However I am forced tp pay a full term for a product that i don't want to use, anymore. Is there no compromise that can be reached to pay a pro rata amount if the 3 months is so set in stone? I find this practise not aligned to a small business and the segment for SMEs?

Or is this to the Product Vendors discretion?

    Hello Hannes - I think the tag is wrong - looks like this belongs in Business One.

    I don't think the community can help with licenses; this is usually between the company and SAP
