We are looking to upgrade our BW 7.0 sp 25 system (only separate ABAP stack) which includes the ERP components SEM-BW 600 and FINBASIS 600 to the BW version 7.4.
This upgrade is not a migration to Hana.
The RDBMS is currently Oracle and will remain Oracle.
The question is whether this upgrade is a direct upgrade to BW 7.4 or a 2-step upgrade due to the ERP components.
We are re-visiting this upgrade for BW 7.4 and are not seeing that 2-step restriction from the Master Guide and OSS notes or from the forums.
It would be great to verify if a direct upgrade from BW 7.0 (with the ERP components SEM-BW 600 and FINBASIS 600) to BW 7.4 (and BW 7.4 related SEM-BW/FINBASIS versions) can occur.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated regarding this topic.
