We are considering using the Model Company for Finance for a customer. If we use the Model Company for Finance as our solution can we add the localization best practices on top of it?
For example out customer has offices in USA, India and Brazil.
Hi Adriaan,
Model Company for Finance has a specified content, free of any country specific features (e.g. tax schemes). Any country localization could be activated on top of MC4F and it is a matter of further project implementation. However, you should consider a set of available localization options in Best Practices, which is the basis for MC for Finance. Particularly, Best Practices for 1709 OP include localization for 16+ countries. In addition, you can use specialized services for localization on top of MC4F. For example, such services exist for Russia, India and Brazil.
Kind regards, Mikhail

Hi Adriaan,
I hope you are going with SAP Activate methodologies since it contains Best practices, guided configuration and a methodology. Just to tell you SAP had came up with best practices for two countries (USA and Germany) initially in S/4 HANA Enterprise Management-1511. I strongly believe now these best practices would have matured enough to be used.
You can go ahead with Model company just ensure that you copy it to new company code which shall be more logical or acceptable to the client.
Regards
Shakeel
