Hi
Could someone please explain how to client copy between two r/3 systems with same version(ecc 6.0). We need to install the target system also.
Thanks and Regards,
Vishwa.
Hi,
The better option would be Client Export and Import rather than going to Remote client copy, If you have any network fluctuations remote client copy will be aborted. I would suggest to go for Exort and Import,
Steps for Export /Import:
SCC8Tcode for client Export - Enter the Target system ID and the profile ( based on yr requirement) and schedule it in Background. Once this is done you will be able to find 3 transports in /trans/datafile and /trans/cofiles ( KT, KX and KO ) once this is done, login to the target system and import the KT transport. once you successfully imported the transport you need to execute SCC7(Post-Client Import Methods) to complete the Export and Import. you can find the logs in SCC3
SCC9 - Remote Client copy steps:
you need to create the RFC to perform the remote client copy from SM59 to target system, once this is done you can enter the Tcode SCC9 and enter the RFC destination and select the profile and source client and target client.
hope this help you
Let me know if you need any more help.
Cheers,
Praveen

Hi,
You can use client export/import method for client copy.
or you can perform remote client copy.
further check Note 70547 - CC-TOPIC: Client transport
