Pass a security token to a web service that's being used as a datasource for a BOBJ report?

I'm aware of the ability of a BOBJ report to use a Web Service as a datasource however I can only find ways to use a fixed user ID/password for the Web Service. We'd like to be able to pass a security token to the web service to authenticate the user and allow/deny access to the requested data accordingly. Is this possible?

  • I have fixed your tags, please selext more careful next time.

  • web services (dswsbobje biprws) can be setup with SSO (kerberos) and possibly trusted auth (via SDK only) I'm not sure what you mean by passing a security token.

Which web service are you using, and how is the users identity going to be determined to pass a token (AD users, SAP users, SAML, other?)
