Platform support tool 2.1 connection

Hi

We updated to version 2.1 of the plaform support tool (BOBJ).
Version 2 was working fine we updated and now when we try connect our systems are there but when you select login nothing happens no error message it just shows a processing wheel for around 20 seconds and stops with no error.
We tried the connection Analyzer and the same thing happens, then we tried the commination's analyzer and it works for TCP connection test but not for "Test CMS Landscape"

Version 2 worked so is there some different config to get 2.1 working?

Hi Michael,

When you install the 2.1 version it attempts to upgrade your old preferences.xml to the new format. It sounds like it's possible that there was an issue there since deleting the preferences and allowing 2.1 to recreate it fixed the problem. Without the logs it's difficult to know root cause however it sounds like the issue is resolved now.

I removed my preferences.xml document in the following path and it works, the file format looks different to the old version.

C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\BISupportTool
