Hello!

How do you focus / limit the search / where-used on the current Function Module / main program in Eclipse with ADT?

Thanks!

Regards,
Vlad

Hi Vlad,

we have the search filter field where you can enter several filters. Maybe this feature is not available on older versions.

This screenshot is from 752 system.

Thomas.

Definitely not here on 750 :-(… but worth waiting for ;-)

The only way to reduce the area to be searched it's within packages… but it still is much more than a single Function Module / Function Library / main program.

Ideas?

Hi Vlad,

do you know the HANA based Source code search already:

https://blogs.sap.com/2014/01/23/abap-sourcecode-search/

There you have the possibility to restrict to search for main objects like reports etc.

I'm sure that's the feature you are looking for. :-)

Regards,

Thomas.

Hello Thomas!

I use the ABAP Source Search but even after reading the linked article and seeing the short demo-video I'm still not aware how to reduce the scope of the search: There is only a button to specify a Project, not a report etc.

Or is it possible via the "Search Filter"? And if yes, how exactly?
