transfer order not created when production order is released

Dear experts,

I have below scenario regarding PP-WM interface,

1.Production order create for material which has production scheduling profile, and profile has been designed to create transfer order when production order is released.

2. all components in the production order had stock more than required quantity when order was released.

3. all components in production order are maintained with WM view in material master.

4. components are assigned to an operation which is performed at a work center assigned with production supply area.

with all above conditions , is it possible that system does not creates a tarnsfer order when production order is released but generates a transfer requirement.

Hi Anand,

Generally, when you create & release PrdOrd (and save of course) it generates TR. After that WH members will process the TR. In this way they create TO and via the TO you can realize the goods movements in your WH (in SAP).

You can set automatic TO in customizing but I don't think that it would be general. E.g. if you use two step picking you have to make groups from your TR and after that you can process them that can make picking very effective.

You didn't give information whether automatic creation TO was set in your system or not.
