hi,

Presently i am working in CE 7.1 -trial version. I started my SAPMMC today. I forgot my administrator's password so i was unable to login into the portal. Then i activated the Emergency user. Logged into portal as SAP* and changed the administrator password. Then i logged off. De-activated the Emergency user from the Configtool and set the administrator password from the secure store. Then i restarted the SAPMMC. However after this jstart.exe would try to start but it would stop after certain no. of seconds. Hence i am unable to open SAPMMC and since i still dont know administrator password i cannot unistall.

Please help........

regards,

pinki

Hi,

Check Database is whether it is Up or not?.

If Database is down, Jstartup never come up, so you need to startup database. then start sap application server.

Pinki,

I think the below information should help you.

Use Command “JCmon” to check the status of the server:

1. To start the JCmon, execute the jcmon script file from the /usr/sap/.

Example: jcmon pf=/usr/sap/C11/sys/profile/C11_JC00_testpc.

2. The system prompts you to choose a command number.

Choose command 11 “Process list” (this command displays the status of the processes).

You can enter different numbers to get more details.

If you find some of the Processes are stopped or not started go through the process like below:

Starting the Listener

Start the tnslsnr first, before starting SAP.

To do so, login as user 'oradev' and in command line type 'tnslsnr start'.

Starting the SAP System

1. To start the central instance and database instance:

¡ If you have a central system – that is, central instance, central services instance and database instance on the same host – enter the following on the central system host:

startsap

This checks if the database is already running. If not, it starts the database before starting the central services instance and the central instance.

2. Enter the following to start dialog instances, if there are any:

startsap

Stopping the SAP System

1. Enter the following to stop dialog instances:

stopsap

Make sure that no SAP instance is running before you enter stopdb on a standalone database server. No automatic check is made.
