How to control Field settings in BP tcode using Customer Account Groups in configuration?

Hi,

I want to suppress certain fields and make some fields as mandatory in BP tcode in SAP S/4 HANA using using Customer account groups Field Status settings (As it was done in ECC). However, with BP, field settings at BP role level overwrite field settings at Customer Account Group.

Can any of the experts help me with the solution?

      Hi Shakeel, the links you have provided didn't exactly answer my question.

      I raised an incident with SAP and discovered that a SAP note 2516606 should be implemented for the system to take into account field settings at Customer Account Group along with the other criteria at Business partner level. Hope this helps other S/4 HANA users who face the same issue in future.

    Hi,

    Use T-Code BUCG. or below path

    SPRO- SAP Reference IMG- Cross Application Components- SAP Business Partner- Business Partner-Basic Setting- Field Grouping. Here you can choose below field attributes as per requirement.

      will the above settings be then applicable to all Account groups. My requirement is that certain field like Customer priing procedure should be mandator in Sold to account group , but it should be opitonal to maintain in Ship to Account group.

    Hi Ishan

    you have to define the BP types, so that they represent the old account groups in ECC. than you can have a different setup for sold-to and for ship-to partners.

    Only problem you are facing here: The field BP-Type must be an mandatory field for all BP right from the first creation and in all changes.

    Does anybody know how to find the field group where the field BP-Type is included? This is quite difficult for me at the moment.
