Correct results from LISTCUBE but incorrect in query w/time char

We are on 3.5. We have a query whose results become incorrect when any time characteristic is included in the output. However - not all results become incorrect - only a seemingly random selection.

For the incorrect items, when drilling down by any time char. the values disappear for certain periods, even though they were originally correctly retrieved and included in the report to begin with. It is not consistent for a certain period or any other item. It is also correct for the majority of the data, but random pieces will exhibit the issue.

For example, out of 50 funds (this is the ISPS solution), 1 may have 1 period missing and 1 may have 2 periods missing and the other 48 will be fine. If we run the query only for the specific fund with an issue, it behaves the same. If we run it only for the "missing" period, it shows the key figures that are calculated in the query off of the results, but not the row(s) that comprise the total or the totals of the actual data that was used for the calculation.

Fund Y, periods 1-5, WITHOUT 0fiscper in the output:

fund colA colB colC (A-B)

Y $100,000 $25,000 $75,000

TOTAL $100,000 $25,000 $75,000

Fund Y, periods 1-5, WITH period in the output:

fund period colA colB colC (A-B)

Y 1 $10,000 $5,000 $5,000

5 $20,000 -$20,000

TOTAL 1 $10,000 $25,000 -$15,000

(where period 5 would have contained the other $90,000 for col A)

Fund Y, period 5 ONLY, WITH period in the output:

fund period colA colB colC (A-B)

TOTAL $70,000

(where period 5 should have contained $90,000 for col A and $20,000 for col B)

OR - sometimes it shows it like this:

fund period colA colB colC (A-B)

Y 5 $20,000 -$20,000

TOTAL $20,000 $70,000

(where col A should have contained $90,000)

This is occurring in production, however we were able to replicate it in development also.

We have a message logged with SAP but since they are not allowed remote access to our system we haven't gotten far with it. Now an increasing number of users are noticing the issue and it's actually getting worse.

ColA and ColB are both global restricted key figures.

All data is available for reporting and indexes are present.

All SIDS are present and correct.

There are no aggregates on the cube.

RSRV shows nothing (all green).

LISTCUBE does find the data and show the numbers we would expect.

There are no special authorizations on the cube or any of the InfoObjects.

Any thoughts?
