Dear Experts,
Background:
We have adopted Make-to-Order (20) planning strategy in our organisation.
Our transaction flow is
S.Inquiry ->
S.Quotation ->
S.Order ->
MPS on S.Order/Item by MD50 ->
MRP on FERT by MD41 ->
Conversion of Planned Order to Process Order ->
Packing Process
Now Query is Stock is built against Sales Inquiry.
I want it against Sales Order because Sales Inqiry is the original document in whole flow.
How to change Original document as Sales Order document?
Or any alternate of it?
What are other implications by changing original reference?

Hi patel
As the MTO order is an sales inquiry order, you need to create sales order with reference to inquiry and then take that sales order as the base . as this sales order will flow to PP consultants
As in inquiry the quantity can change when you cerate a sales order, you can have the following implications
Implications
1) If you have maintained Pricing procedure The sales value will differ because of the pricing type.As in inquiry and sales order levels the pricing types are different.
2) When you create a sales order with reference to inquiry, the delivery date will also change.
3) When you create a sales order with reference to inquiry, the customer quantity can also change

Srinath

Hi Srinath,
Thanx but we have already set pre-requisite of Sales Order, that is Sales Inqiry & Sales quotation.
Without Inqiry & quotation one can not enter Sales Order in our scenario.
After running MPS on Sales Order and necessary packing proecss, stock is generated against Sales Inquiry instead of Sales Order.
If I check stock (MB52, Special stock) then stock should display against Sales Order.
