SMD and Hostagent version

Hi,

Is SMD and Hostagent version is specific to system type?

for example, I am having SMD agent 7.10.11.0 on ECC 6.0 ehp7 system ..Can I install the same agent for NW 7.0 Java stack system with 741 kernel media? and for the hostagent , Can I have the hostagent 720 patch 190 upgraded/installed for both the systems?...Connecting solman system is 7.1 SP14.

Please clarify..
