We are currently on SAP Business Suite on HANA (ECC 6.0 EHP7) with sFin 1.0. We are currently using HANA Live Reports and IBP (For Finance) in our current system. We are planning to migrate our current system to SAP S/4 HANA 1610 and wanted to do pre-checks to analyze the impact of system conversion on IBP Functionality and HANA Live Report we are using in our current system. There is not much that I could find by going through the SAP Simplification document. There is a section on SAP HANA Live Reporting in Simplification document that says "SAP HANA Live views have to be rebuilt manually with CDS Views in SAP S/4HANA.".

So, Does it mean that there is no way to keep using the Calculations Views Developed using the HANA Live Content post system Conversion to S/4? and what happens to IBP Functionality that we are currently using?

Hi Amit

You can find a lot of content on SCN on calculation views to CDS views for S/4 HANA. I'm not a pro in that area but searching for a few minutes gives me plenty of interesting results, check this blog post out where a community member discusses about a migration path for calculation views to CDS views and discusses around the "why" this change happens:

On the IBP, that's part of BPC I assume which is part of 'EPM ~aka Enterprise Performance Management' from a roadmap perspective.

I cannot find much on this except for the fact that the product availability matrix ( has SAP BPC 10.1 version for SAP Netweaver listed as a component relevant to S/4 HANA 1610 ~ navigating to S/4 HANA 1610 and there checking related components shows the below for example:

SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.1, version for SAP NetWeaver

So I would except that to work.

Hope this helps but otherwise I would advise you to get in touch with SAP in a more direct manner so you get your questions answered.

Best regards
