I-Doc created from change pointers contains unchanged records of the cost center

Dear experts,

While sending the changes in Cost center master data to an external system using I-Docs, if the Cost center has multiple records with different validity periods, then no matter which record is changed, all the records (even the unchanged ones) are captured in the I-Doc created by executing BD21.

How to identify & remove the I-Doc segments which contain unchanged data?

Please refer to the attached screen shot for an example of this situation.

I would recommend to read OSS note 1631873 - Changes on CCTR IDOC outbound for "delete old data" issue

to understand the purpose of the validity periods and what might happen if you remove them.

When it comes to IDoc segments it's already too late to deal with the issue. The question should be rather "if there are no changes then why are change pointers created?" Take a look at the change documents and change pointer records to see what exactly triggers this. Maybe you can adjust the change pointer configuration to track only certain changes. It's also quite possible that what is perceived as "no change" kind of is a change from a technical standpoint. Is this actually causing an issue?

If you feel that change pointers are created incorrectly then I'd suggest to contact SAP Support.
