Service of VC running EP server

Dear Friends ,

I have a VC application thats gets the inforamtion from my local oracle server.

But the problem is when ever because of some reason if i restart my oracle server after that my VC application stat giving me Error "Cannot execute stored procedure".

But if i restart my Portal server this error message does not comes again.

What i want to know ,

Is there any service in portal server because of which i am geting the problem and if i restart those service only my problem may be solved.

Hi Krishan,

Try to restart the JDBC connector. Go to Visual Admin->server->services>connector container->sap.com/com.sapportals.connectors.database and stop and start the connector. This should probably help (instead of the whole J2EE restart).

Hi

Some times if ur portal is down you wil get this type of errors and also even the Store procedure server (SQL server in ur case) is down .

just restart ur portal and the SQL server.
