i am facing the error "period 005/2008 is not open for account type S and G/L 799999" what should i do tell me please

goto OB52 and maintain the current year 2008 in 2 nd and 4th coloumns of year

Open the FI period through T-Code - OB52 or S_ALR_87003642. There you can open the period for your positing variant for account type S (G/L).
Go to transaction OB52 and change the 'to period' to 05/2008 for your company variant.
It's would be better if you indicate 12/2010 (i.e. Dec 2010) so that you won't get this error very often.
goto OB52 and open the period

Go to FS00 and give the G/L account and the company code and check wheather for that G/L account account type S is there or not ?
