ManageServiceRequestIn: Restrict Update Authorization for Web Service Consumer on Field Level?

Hello,

the standard A2X web service ManageServiceRequestIn is exposed to a 3rd party customer to create and update service tickets.

After initial creation only certain fields should be allowed to be updated via the web service (manual changes done by a business user via the UI should still be possible for all fields).

Is there any recommended and efficient approach on how to restrict update rights on field level for the web service consumer? In case of an attempt to update a restricted field the web service should be rejected and a corresponding error message should be returned in the SOAP response.

Thank you for your advice!

Dear Florian,

Currently such configurations on web-service interface cannot be done in the system, if you do not want to update any particular fields, then you can ignore such fields in the request payload. ManageServiceRequestIn works if you send only relevant fields to be updated.

May be you can post it as new idea in our influence forums,
