HCPms Mobile Development Kit (SEAM)

My name is Alexandre Iglesias Rodrigues, I’m SAP SD/CRM consultant from Brazil, worked several years with Mobile Sales from SAP CRM and now I’m interested in learn and work with Mobile focused on solutions using Mobile Development Kit, I’m reading all articles from SAP Blog and followed all videos from SAP Hana Academy in youtube, I could execute successfully all examples from videos, and I would like to keep my studies developing solutions using HCPms, I have some doubts and hope you can help me.

1. HCPms Mobile Development kit (SEAM) is already release to be used in production ?
2. Mobile Development kit (SEAM) can only be used with HCPms ? or I can also use with last service package os SMP 3.0 ?
3. Once MDK uses NativeScript, is that possible to already run the applications on android ?
4. As far as I know the first SAP app using MDK SEAM is SAP ASSET MANAGER, which is available for ipad in apple store. Am I able to develop new apps and send to apple store as well ?
5. I read that with MDK SEAM, I can make custom development for SAP ASSET MANAGER, how is this process ? Once I didn’t find the source code of app in anywhere ? I’m thinking if is the same SAP process like ABAP in ECC.
6. Is that possible to connect MDK SEAM app to older SAP ERP versions than S/4HANA ? This communication is online ? asking this because my company has several customers with all kind of ECC versions, would be great if an integration could be done to provide an mobility solution for everyone .

to answer to your queries:

Mobile Development Kit is a feature to Cloud Platform Mobile service.

yes, this feature is available in productive edition of CPms

2. Mobile Development kit (SEAM) can only be used with HCPms ? or I can also use with last service package os SMP 3.0 ?

Only Cloud Platform Mobile Service

3.Once MDK uses NativeScript, is that possible to already run the applications on android ?

Currently, resulting application models can be loaded only into iOS application (as native UI conforms Fiori for iOS controls)

4. As far as I know the first SAP app using MDK SEAM is SAP ASSET MANAGER, which is available for ipad in apple store. Am I able to develop new apps and send to apple store as well ?

Sure, you can develop new app (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-W78iJvbE0&list=PLkzo92owKnVzN85sWfSdmwSOqlOAFE9DO ) and publish it on App store (by following standard procedure to publish an iOS app)

You can of course connect to SAP ERP , CRM etc. You can add "offline" capabilities by adding an "Offline OData Action" to MDK project in Web IDE. (Check video link in point#4)
