PM Orders - Scheduling not yet carried out - update not possible

We have just copied our development system and now when creating a service order I get the message - Scheduling not yet carried out - update not possible. The order releases but will not save. I've checked the work centre master data and been through the config I can think of but can't find a solution. The error message in the scheduling log in the order is: Scheduling terminated: No time unit defined for day.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.
