Spool Request

Dear Experts,

What is spool request? And how to generate it. What is use of it? Give info about it.

Hi,

Spool request means list of outputs for the customer. For this t.code is SP01. This is generally useful to know list of outputs created by customer or list of outputs waiting in queue..

For ex:

You have given invoice print then go to SP01 there you can see one spool request has been created for that print...

Hi,

Just take one sample billing doc and go to VF02 there give that billing document number then click on issue output in menu bar of delivery doc and then click on print button or print preview..

Next go to system in menu bar and click on spool request then automatically it will take u to that screen where u can see spool request list..

Spool request is a document for which a print function has been selected. However, it has not yet been output to a printer or another device. The output data for the print document is stored partly formatted in a data store until an output request is created, that is, until it is sent to a particular output device.

The spool system uses a spool request to store the print data temporarily and to access it. The data is stored in a temporary format. You can also display the print document. The system automatically assigns a 10-digit ID number to a spool request.

Spool requests can be viewed via tcode SP01, the number will be there, programatiically it is sometimes populated in the system field SY-SPONO.

Spool request is a Request which is generated by SAP with the output data, lets say when you Schedule a program and you want to see the output then the Output of that repoer will go and sit in the Spool

Hi

Spool request is nothing but to check whether the output has been in line to be successfully printed or not. You can monitor the same in SP01.

hi

spool request means sequencing your requests. Like it will do all the requests in a sequence whatever you have given for the print. Like eg if you given 10 prints what spool will do it will sequencing one by one.we can create spool request in sp01 transaction code for that. for the sales order, or delivery or billing we can do this. In that sales order goto extras edit you can create a spool.

Spool request is reqest sent for printing to printer. When you trigger any printing document it generates spool request.
