Can We Rum Mrp by MRP controller ,if so how can,anybody could explein in detail

Hi neelam,

Its not required to use the user exit to run the MRP run by MRP controller.

On MD01 screen you run the MRP on plant level, while running this in the last in the field user exit parameter maintain the MRP controller and run the MRP. only the materials related to that MRP controller will get planned.

r u sure?Just by giving the MRP controller key will he MRP run only for that particular controller

Its just a parameter,this field is used to provide additional information on the user exit

If this works then whats the use of User Exits,Can you explain me the difference

In addition to Siva's reply

Create 3 letter user exit key under following node:

Production - Mrp - planning - user exit:mat selection for Mrp run

Use this key in ur ABAP code in user exit M61X0001. And eneter this 3 letter key in MDBT for running MRP in background.

in which you can run mrp with MRP controller

MD05 is to view the MRP list for evaluation & not for running MRP

@ Neelam-I dont think its available in standard SAP

Hi,

You have to use a User Exit to run MRP by MRP Controller wise , in MD01.

MD05 is only for evaluation and not for MRP Run.

The User Exit is : M61X0001

We can use this user exit for the below cases.

Materials to be planned using MRP procedures,

Materials of a certain MRP controller

Externally procured materials or materials produced in-house

Enter this User Exit in Transaction: SMOD and you will get the sample coading and if you want the detailed documentation this, in the SMOD Transcation, after copying the user exit click on documentation..
