Hello Experts, I'm new on HANA Studio and I want to copy the calculated view RTC_C_FOUNDATION, included in the package sap.erp.sfin.rtc, however, I just created my system and I'm not able to see anything into the Content Folder (where the package sap suppose to be). I have no idea why is this happening, is it an issue related to authorizations? is there something additional I need to install in order to see the sap package in Conten folder?.

I'll really appreciate your help on this.

Your user needs the package privileges for the packages you wanna see (e.g. to be able to view all packages REPO.READ for the Root Package is required).

In addition you should switch to the SAP HANA Development perspective and use the Repository view (if you wanna use still HANA studio for such tasks).

Florian

Thank you Florian, it seems that the problem is solved as we can see now the packages into the Content folders, however, now we're having another issue as we're trying to create a new package for our project and we couldn't do it. We go to Content -> New -> Package and nothing happens, we do not receive an error message or anything. Is it possible that we need an additional privilege to do this? We already have the Modeler role assigned to our user.

In which perspective you are working.

And yes, you need privileges to be able to create/edit packages.

I'm working in the SAP HANA Modeler perspective. You know, something weird happened, I was working in HANA Studio and, as I said before, when I try to create a new package (right click on Conten Folder -> New -> Package) nothing happens, I didn't get a message error or anything, but then I try to use Eclipse instead of HANA Studio and it worked perfectly with the same user. Is this behavior normal?

I would say that "sometimes" there are not explainable issues differences between the HANA Studio installation and Eclipse with HANA Tools. Maybe the reason because I just use the Web-based tools (web based dev workbench + SAP Web IDE) and in very rare cases Eclipse :)
