Download Manager for KM Document download?

Hi all,

we want to share large documents through the SAP Portal KM interface. Documents ranging from 500Mb - 1,5Gb will not be an exception.

We use a filesystem repository to make these documents available in KM.

We were wondering if there exists a solution to download these files like with we are used to with FTP download managers:

- Download in multiple threads

- Recovery when (part of) download failed

- ...

Any HTTP based download manager should work (the KM HTTP/WebDAV servlet supports HTTP GET with a single byte range parameter).

Many thanks for your quick answer.

I installed http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ and indeed:

- Multithreaded download

- resume download

- schedule download

are supported for KM Documents.

Next time I will look a little further then the lenght of my nose before asking such questions

Yet another proof that having complete HTTP support in the product is much more useful than supporting WS-deathstar .
