material variant BOM explosion

Hi PP Masters,

I have created a MATERIAL VARIANT as FERT (finished goods). I created a planned independent requirement for the material (PIR, MD61) then ran MRP (MD02) then converted the planned order into a production order.

My problem is this. Although i created a bom for this material, the production order didnt have any components, and when i try to manually assigned components i doesnt seem to work.

What settings should i maintain for the material variant in MATERIAL MASTER and the BOM for Material variant??

I would really appreciate if someone could help me.
