Hello,
again i need your support. We want to keep IDoc-Docnum while transmitting data via XI from receiver to sender - Status-IDoc.
Because I read in the XI-Library that:
Consecutive number from the IDoc number range EDIDOC/01. For reasons of uniqueness, it cannot be taken from the payload.
How to resolve to keep the IDoc-Docnum?!
Does somebody has an idea how to manage this?!

Hi Carsten,
If I understand correctly, you are trying to send the IDoc number to one of the field of Status IDoc and sending it back to source.
Then it is very correct to send the Idoc document number to DOCNUM field of status idoc. When the status idoc is sent back, then using this number, it will identify the original idoc and status gets appended to it.
Let me know if you require any other information.

Kiran Bobbala

Hi Kiran,
yes that's what we inteded to do.
But XI is causing some problems.
Because we are using IDoc-Tunneling there is no mapping done, so i can't use IDoc-Number from Payload to map to DOCNUM in EDIDC.
Is there any option that incoming DOCNUM will be the same as in sender and we can receive the IDoc-No. from receiver back?! Please be aware that target is an EDI-Manager which generates it's own IDoc-Number's. So given picture is just an idea how everything should work.
sending:
-->
System A // XI // System B
DOCNUM 004 // DOCNUM 004 // DOCNUM 004
<-- Way back
System A // XI // System B
DOCNUM 004 // DOCNUM 004 // DOCNUM 004
