SAP HR and EA HR update using SUM tool.

Hi

I am planning to update SAP_HR and EA-HR (ECC EHP8) to the latest version

When planned change in maintenance planner, after selecting only this components to generate stack.xml file, in the pop up I see not to use stack.xml file instead use archive. How to update these components using SUM tool ?

You can use the SPAM to update particular components:

Thanks for sharing the SAP note, however this note does not answer my question,

I am planning to update only HR components and while generating xml it says not to use and use archive instead.

my question is do we require HR specific component stack .xml file for SUM tool to update SP.
