SBWP restrictions for users to send mail

Hi Expert's,

Is there any way to restrict users from sending mails between users in SAP. It should not create problem with workflow mails.

My requirement is that users should receive workflow mails but users should not send any mails in SBWP.

I have seen one option to restrict users in SCOT settings which works based on SAP Ids But how to restrict from sending mails/messages between the Users.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Mithran

I'd check with your security team - it seems like something they could easily do.

Hi Susan Keohan,

Thanks for your reply, I checked with the Team, They confirmed between SAP Users they cannot send messages or mails on selecting the option No mail sending between users.

I have a doubt whether it will reflect in workflow mails too, If a PR is created and mail triggered to a person whether it will block that mail? Is it possible to stop sending mails between users in SBWP and also Workflow should not get any issues.

Thanks & Regards,

Mithran

If the authorizations to restrict email are applied to ONLY dialog users, then this should not impact emails generated via WF-BATCH, which is a background user. And WF-BATCH (since it is a background user) should have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW (should not be restricted because it runs many different background tasks and processes - such as sending email to your users when a job is done)
