What is the use of Movement Type 551 and when it is used.

This kind of movement is used for initializing stock at the beginning of company.

Or for the creation of a new storage location...

It's normaly an exceptional movement.

It is Used to Scrap The Material

T code MB1A & Mvt type 551..

If the Material is no longer used then you need to scrap them..

Dear All,

May i know the transaction code of overview of disposed stock per division. i always run the MB51(History, Mvt type 551) its show all stocks disposed. if i used the MB51 i will sort the item per division, its take a long of time, is there any tcode can i used to view the disposed item per division..

551 Scrapping from unrestricted-use stock

Possible special stock indicators: E, K, O, Q, V, W

Possible special stock indicators:

• K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock

• O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor

• E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock

• Q GR for purchase order or order to project stock.

Hi,

A material is there in your plant and you are not using, so you can scrap it with 551movement type. For natural loss of material , you can use 551movement type.

Hi,

Mvt.type 551 is goods issue scrapping in MB!A transaction. If u r buying the material from one time vendor and then the quality of the material is ok and then u processed the payment also. But material is reject in the production time. on that time only u have to use the Mvt.type 551

Movement Type 551 is used for scarp material ..

In your warehouse, you may at times find products that are damaged or unusable for some other reason. You often notice this, for example, during picking or physical inventory. Since you cannot usually sell these products on, you have to scrap them.

SAP EWM supports a two-step scrapping process that is different from posting material directly into scrap using standard movement types 551 and subsequent.

This can be used, for example, if the central materials management department evaluates the inventory levels and then decides to scrap slow-moving material due to storage costs.

IN REJECTED GOODS OR DAMAGED GOODS SHOULD BE SHOWN IN ACCOUNTS THEN THIS SHOULD BE TREAT AS SCRAP FOR THIS THIS MVT USED
