Copied InfoObject, now how to setup hierarchy?

We created a copy of the Business Content InfoObject 0FUNCT_LOC in order to add attributes. The Texts and Attributes were created with no problems. However, when we go to add transfer rules for the hierarchy, the DataSource 0FUNCT_LOC_HIER is not one of the ones made available. How do we give our custom InfoObject the same hierarchy that the BCT one has?

Hi

The hierarchy is not copied but you can have the hierarchy loaded for the custom INFO OBJECT by :

1.Set ZFUNC_LOC info object "with hierchies "

2.Load the original 0FUNCT_LOC_HIER into 0FUNCT_LOC.

In the procession tab of the info package mark : " only

psa and update subsequentially in data target"

3.Load ZFUNCT_LOC with DATA SOURCE

0FUNCT_LOC_ATTR

4.Load your additional attributes into ZFUNCT_LOC by

using a generic data source

The new InfoObject was created via template, but there is no hierarchy listed to activate. When I tried a test with with 0ACCOUNT -> ZACCOUNT, there also was no hierarchy listed when I clicked Maintain Hierarchies for the new IO.

hi,

hope u have copied the BC object with template option. if so do maintain hierarchy in the hierarchy tab and activate it.

if you have choosen the reference option for copying, you will be able to use the one available for BC object.
