KPI Reporting in SAP MII and ME

Dear all,

I'm currtently writing my Bachelor-Thesis about "KPI Reporting in SAP ME/MII" at Agilent Technologies site in Waldbronn, Germany. Agilent is implementing the latest version of SAP ME and MII to control production. Part of my thesis is to find out 'best practice in industry for KPI-Reporting' supported by an MES-System. This means to create an overview about which Key Performance Indicators other companies use to control their production. Therfore I am interested in the Indicator, not the measured value.

I am especially focused on two types of manufacturer. First, companies with a high daily output quantity like companies which are using stamp/punch or injection molding processes.

The ScreenTapes are processed at our production from the raw foil to the finished tape. The output quantity is high per day.

Second, companies which have a very low range of vertical manufacture and only do assembling and testing.

The chromatography systems are completely developed by our R&D department and

assembled from several individual components at our production. Afterwards the instruments run through intense testing steps.
