Hi,

When we are running User Sync in GRC 10.1 we are getting the following error

Error in <Target client..> "Reason Error in RFC; 'The ASSERT condition was violated.'"

I tired to troubleshoot but did not see any dumps either in GRC or in Target client. please let me know if there is any note or how to resolve this issue.

Thank you,

Sri

I see the error dump in the Target system. user sync issue is due to the program not able to pull the user manager information in the target system. I will let you guys know once we figure out the issue.

Thanks,

Sri

Sri,

can also happen from different plugin versions. Did you check if they are compatible?

Cheers, Alessandro

Thanks everyone for helping me out on this. The issue is finally resolved, Applied SAP note: 2536410 manually. The issue is due to HR Manager position of the user.

Thank you,

Sri.

I usually find when you get an ASSERT short dump that there is probably missing configuration

Not sure what type of connector your are using or what is your GRC version and support pack but either way I would suggest you to review note 2221261

The note is already applied in our system.

did you get any slg1 log details or ST22 dump? This are the usual places where we check for further leads

Yes, we got ST22 Dump in the target system and also SLG1 error in GRC. We changed the config parameter so that we can run the user sync program user by user instead of batches. This is now fixed after deleting one user from the system.

Thanks,

Sri.

Sri,

Looks like RFC issue, did you test the RFC's(connection & auth test). What's happening when you run the role sync, auth sync jobs?Any dumps in GRC?

Thanks

Ramesh

Yes, I tested both connection and authorization for RFC and looks fine. I do not see any errors for role sync and auth sync jobs. This is only happening for User sync job.

Thank you,

Sri.

Sri,

Can you let me you are running the repository sync(User) against what connector(ABAP or LDAP or EP)

Check this note as well if its helpful

I am running against a ABAP connector. We changed the config parameter so that we can run the user sync program user by user instead of batches. This is now fixed after deleting one user from the system.

Thanks,

Sri.
