Account Segmentation

Hi Friends,

I want to know if there is any possibility to import Segmented Active Accounts through DTW.

Thanks in advance,

Arun

    Yes, it is possible.

I would advise that you set up the segment structure manually. Permitted segment values can be imported using the AccountSergmentationCategories template.

You can then import the accounts themselves using the normal ChartOfAccounts template. For segmented accounts, you must put the account code under FormatCode not Code.

There are full templates and examples in the usual Data Transfer Workbench folders.

You need AccountSegmentationCategories and the usual ChartOfAccounts.

AccountSegmentationCategories is a very simple template with only 4 columns: SegmentID, Code, Name, ShortName.

Thanks Suda for this useul info., I have tried this and it's working too but I am not sure why do we incorporate Account Code (after running query) and update the CoA.

Please throw some light on this.

      Regards,

      Arun
