Hi SAP Gurus,

We are using ECC-6 and have installed an seperate content server,

our requirement is

Can the original documents or DIR files be accessed through Internet with out logging in it SAP logon, ie... if they want to access documents remotely through internet logon

if it is so then

once files are loaded in to SAP DMS, there is no need of SAP logon, or SAP access to view the documents, it can be done from any where remotely using our normal internet explorer,am i right ?

does this require any extra equipments or settings please also suggest the detailed configuration to be done

I heard about WEB DMS, is this a separate / unique DMS implimentation or it can be incorporated in our normal DMS implementation.

Please Suggest

Points for Sure

Thanks and regards

Sathish

Satish,

Also please note that if yuo are not using a portal then you need to use the VPN connection when accessed from outside company firewall. Or else you need to drill a hole through the firewall. You can even create the DIR and upload the original using WEBDMS.

Award points if this information is useful.

Thanks,
