Databases not displaying in client systems

Dear Experts,

Due to less space in c drive the databases in client system not displaying. To increase space in c drive thinking to move live database from c to d drive. Need your suggestions what problems i will face if i move or is it ok.

Hi Karthik,

Assuming that you mean MS SQL Server, there is no problem.

I suggest you do it as follows:

  1. Make a backup of your live database
  2. In MS SQL Management Studio create a new database. Make sure its files are situated on the 😧 drive.
  3. Restore the backup on top of the new database, with overwrite and make sure that the file paths are on the 😧 drive
  4. Press the refresh button on the login form, and see your "new" database in the list.
  5. Test
  6. Delete the old live database

Additionally, if possible you should try to make sure that the 😧 partition is on its own physical drives.
