MD04 available stock inconsistencies

Hi,

My available stock qty in MD04 is having inconsistencies.

In MD04 available Stock is 550, but in MMBE available stock is 460 and 90 is lying in Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit.

There is a Outbound delivery created and PGI done, but billing status, transportation planning and proof of delivery status is not yet processed. Because of this stock is showing under Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit in MMBE. This stock is not showing in MD04 because of which MRP planning is not happening accurately. There is no MRP element showing in MD04.

Can someone help me in resolving this issue.

Here you will find an example of how to make an element MRP relevant/irrelevant. Even you can change the quantities during MRP run.

Thanks for your suggestion.

We are using S/4 HANA and run MRP live. The Badi's which are suggested in the link is for Classical MRP run but not on MRP live.

I want MRP to consider the stock which is in Valuated Stock in Transit and show the actual available stock in the plant.

We have implemented the Proof of Delivery (POD) concept. In this scenario when the outbound delivery is PGI'ed the status of this will be pending for POD. In reality stock is on the way to Customer, once customer confirms the POD after subsequent transaction this qty which was initially lying under Valuated stock in transit will be cleared.

With configurations we can remove the check maintained for Stock Transfer, but we can't remove this. Because we do have plant to plant material transfer.

Would like to know how to overcome this issue.

Then you need to follow the simplification list that suggests the AMDP BAdI: PPH_MRP_RUN_BADI => MDPS_ADJUST.

In OPPQ plant parameters for MRP, have you included "stock in transfer"? Please check.

Yes in OPPQ plant parameters for MRP, "stock in transfer" box is checked.

We need "stock in transfer" because we receive materials from Manufacturing Plant to Warehouse plant and some times one warehouse plant to another warehouse plant.

But in the above case, material to customer is PGI'ed and physically material is out of our plant. We are waiting for customer to confirm that they have received that much of qty.

Let me rephrase my question.

When i check MD04, stock of 550 qty is available, but when i check MMBE stock of 460 qty is available but when i dig more i see that 90 qty is under Valuated stock in Transit. Further doing analysis i found that we have configured Proof of Delivery concept. we have done PGI of 90 qty for an Outbound Delivery but waiting for POD.

But in MD04 this stock is not out of plant it is adding up 460 available qty and also 90 stock which is in Valuated stock in Transfer.

If i execute MRP then the system will consider the total available stock which leads to planning inconsistencies.

Please do let me know how to resolve this inconsistencies.
