Agent determination of 'general' task fails....

I have a task in the workflow which i have kept as general task

I have attached a rule to it.

when the rule doesnt return any agents, the workitem is sent to all the SAP users

this is a very big problem, could you please suggest how to prevent that ?

if the rule doesnt give any agents then the workflow should hang, it should go to all the SAP users.

thanks and regards,

Dipti

I have read in sap help that "actual receipients of work items are intersection of responsible and possible agents."

in case the rule resolution doesnt return any agents then there are zero responsible agents. so the intersection of possible and responsible agents is also zero. so the workflow should not go any user

then how come it is sent to the possible users ?

kindly help, its urgent. thank you

    regards,

    Dipti

    Hi,

I could terminate the workflow using the check box in the rule.

But further to that I still have an issue that whenever the workflow is terminated like that, there is message received in inbox as follows.

Workflow 456408 set to status ERROR

I have checked in SWU3, Schedule Background Job for Work Items with Errors is not activated.

I checked in SM37, there is no job running for RSWWERRE.

I also checked in SWEQADM. But I could not trace from where it is originated.

I need to turn it off.

Could you kindly help to find where it is set ?

    thank you

      Hi Imthiaz,

I have already checked the workflow log and I know very well why my workflow is in error.

My requirement is that even if the workflow goes into error, this message entry should not be created.

As per my knowledge, this is created in workflow administrators inbox due to setting in SWU3 -- Schedule Background Job for Work Items with Errors

But it doesnt look like the above settings effects this message creation. There should be some setting somwhere right ?

Also, it is only in quality system not dev

Dev -- workflow goes in error -- no message seen

QA -- workflow goes in error -- message seen in workflow initiators inbox

      please help.....

      thank you

      regards

    Hi Dipti,

Do to following to solve your Problem,

    1) Goto PFAC T.code

    2) Enter your Rule number and goto change mode

    3) In “Rule definition” Click the Check box “Terminate If Rule Resolution Without Result” and Save

    4) Then test your Workflow

    Regards,

    Surjith
