i am working on ides system and trying to open the period for the previuos months using mmpi

but sysytem is giving message as error message

application area is MM

messgae no. is 016

please tell me how to make this message as warning message or to open the period for perivous month

Hi Rahul,

Using MMPI it is possible to re-open a previously closed period when no material postings have been done after the period shifting to the new period,but it is not advisable to do so because the valuation data of the previous period will be affected.

You need to refer this note number 487381

Tcode MMPI,

Here goto menubar select User profile for your own data you need to add the parameter id MMPI_READ_NOTE with description as Initialise period then save this

Then goto MMPI again enter your company code, period which you want and year then execute.

Other option is As you are doing this in IDES system you can test this also

You need to remove the Plant assignment from Company code Check the MMRV transaction what is the current period then goto OMSY there change the period which you want . Again assign the plant to company code

once mm period is open is not a easy task to open its previous period very much changes will be occure in fi point of view for open previous period go through the procedure

1-ox18-delete the plant assign to comp code & save

2-omsy-change the posting period u want & save

3-ox18 assign the plant to ur comp code & save
