How to update CR runtime version

We currently have a .NET 3.5 desktop application created in VS2010 using CR for VS2010 (13.0.3). The application and the 13.0.3 CR runtime are distributed to user machines.

We are looking at moving to VS2015 for the application and it looks like we would need to update our version of CR for Visual Studio to at least 13.0.15. This in turn will require us to install 13.0.15 on the users' machines.

Users have both a production and test version of the application. Until the updated version is released in production they would have a test version needing CR 13.0.15 and a production version needing CR 13.0.3. Is there anyway to accomplish this? Everything that I have read indicates that two different 13 versions can not exist side by side on a machine.

Hi Karen,

SP 22 was just released to day, I suggest updating to it to get the latest platform support:

No you cannot have 2 versions on the same PC at the same time.

Use a VM Image for testing.
