We have a problem with the font Myriad Pro on Export it to a PDF file.
I also was searching the web, SAP forums, but I don't found a solution, therefore I hope here I become help.
After export a crystal report as a PDF document, some characters was wrong rendered:
We also was in contact with the developers from our application.
As a suggestion, the support told me to try some other SAP Crystal Reports runtime engines.
Currently we use Version 13.0.20.2399 (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll).
The font we use is a TTF font, because the OTF is not supported from the Export-Tool. See attached Stacktrace log:export-exception-stacktrace.png
The report is correct renderd in the Crystal Reports Designer.
Do you know anything about this rendering bug?
Do you have a fixed runtime rendering version?
Best regards
Horst
The same problem still exists with SP 22. I'm using Windows 10 version 1709 if that matters. So far only the registry key UseCustomEncoding set to zero helped. Please fix this issue for the next SP.

Hi Horst,
SP 22 was just released today:
https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Crystal+Reports%2C+Developer+for+Visual+Studio+Downloads
Try it, and please read the SP 21 update info on the WIKI page.
CR uses usp10.dll version 1.4 to render fonts, we've update to version 1.6 now so it should work now.
Other problem is we can't embed Licensed fonts simply for Licensing rules, may be the issue.
